The heart of this vision for Joi Shea Butter is to create opportunities for the youth in the Black and Brown communities that need guidance and mentorship on starting their own businesses. As a result, it will create a community of support, collaboration, and wealth for the youth to set and maintain for future generations to come. The world is constantly evolving with changes in the environment and economic structures that our ability to adapt will become challenging as the reality of climate change is hitting closer to home for our survival.

We have a responsibility to prepare and protect the future of our generation. Not just my children, but yours as well. What are we leaving them if there is a lack of ownership in these communities? How far will their education take them when the system has not prepare them for the workforce or the knowledge needed to build their own career path? These are the questions that motivate me to keep going and make this vision possible on my journey to become successful in order to give back to the community I grew up in.
